Mamma Mia - this place is great year after year.
Last year we had a feast there. This year we just ordered take-out pizza. On the last night in NY we had to have real NY pizza pie, and this was the place. They are fast, friendly and the food is A+. -

My friend and I tried to go here on the 4th of July.
When we entered the establishment an older angry, gentleman (presumably the owner) wouldn't look at us or greet us. I finally asked if we should seat ourselves, I could see open tables outside where we wanted to sit and he replied incredulously "No that's not how we do it here, my waiters will help you." A few minutes later, a waiter attempted to seat us but by this time, two groups of teenagers moved from their parents table to take the available ones. Although your table snatchers HAD ALREADY EATEN, our waiter told us there was now a 10-20 wait. We said that was fine and sat in the To-go section. We were absolutely willing to wait but after a few moments of witnesses horrendous behavior from the owner made us quickly leave.
I feel sorry for the owner. -

Food was decent. Owner was nasty and food took forever to come. Very disappointed. Would not go back or recommend to anybody. Definitely avoid!

Ordered take out, we were charged 14$ more than anticipated from their calculated menu prices. One of our side pastas came completely uncooked , it's like they dunked it into the water for 2 minutes and took it out. When bitten into it was still white, not even the dog would eat it. Quite disappointing as we heard good things.

La famiglia has some hearty home cooked meals just like my grandma makes!
I tried the lunch special which comes with a wine, salad and entree for $18.
I ordered the salmon puttanesca which was really yummy. It came with onions, peppers and tomatoes with green olives. Delicious and a really good portion.
The bread they give you on the table is nice. There's one that's like a foccocia and then a plain one. Overall great spot for lunch or dinner if you are in the area.
